Why We Love It

We love this Chardonnay magnum because it perfectly captures what makes Jaroslav Osička one of the most important voices in Moravian natural wine. Like some of the other wines from the domaine, it feels Burgundian in ambition yet unmistakably Moravian in energy.

Description

The Chardonnay 2019 showcases the grape at its most expressive. Aromas of citrus, ripe apple and white flowers lead into a textured palate marked by freshness, precision and subtle mineral depth. The larger format lends extra finesse and ageing potential, allowing the wine to develop beautifully over time. Elegant yet generous, it is a bottle made for sharing and special occasions.

About the Producer

Jaroslav Osička is one of the pioneers of natural wine in Central Europe and among the first winemakers to embrace natural winemaking in the Czech Republic after independence. Long before natural wine became fashionable, he was farming and vinifying with minimal intervention, helping shape what would become the Moravian natural wine movement. Today his wines remain benchmarks for the region, combining precision, balance and a profound sense of place.
